Quick Start Guide

What this module does:

This module will allow you to send an html or text email to a list of email addresses. This list of email addresses can be either entered through a form on your website or by importing the list through the import tools.

Getting Started:

First log into CMATION® and under Modules click the link labeled Manage Newsletter.

Create a Newsletter:

Under Newsletter Management Interface select the Compose Newsletter button.

Name: Input a name to identify this particular newsletter. Then select Save & Continue.
Select Template: Choose a template that you wish to use for your newsletter format. Then select Save & Continue.
Set Newsletter Headers: Input the information for each field. This information will show up as the From information to your newsletter recipients. Then select Save & Continue.
Select List: Choose the list(s) of recipients you wish to send your newsletter to. Then select Save & Continue.
Compose 'Newsletter Content': This page is used to compose the newsletter content.

Notes:

To assist you in personalizing your newsletter you can reference member info by entering place holders - They are CASE-SENSITIVE.
###Name### - Gets replaced with the subscribers name (First and Last).
###Subscription### - Allows you to control the placement of the subscription information and unsubscribe link.
###Email### - Gets replaced with the subscribers email address.
Then select Save & Continue.
Review 'Newsletter' Settings: Review the newsletter settings, if any changes need to be made select the appropriate button at the top of the form.
Send a Test Newsletter: You can use this section to send a test newsletter by entering in test recipient email addresses, separated by a comma.
Send / Schedule Newsletter: Set the schedule for your newsletter and save.

Edit a Newsletter:

Under Newsletter Management Interface select the Edit Record button (Paper & Pencil) next to the Newsletter you wish to edit.

From this page you can edit the settings for your newsletter:

Name: Input a name to identify this particular newsletter. Then select Save & Continue.
Select Template: Choose a template that you wish to use for your newsletter format. Then select Save & Continue.

Using a newsletter to promote your products/services can be a very powerful tool in your marketing campaign, however, this tool does require a serious commitment to responsible marketing.

Everyone hates receiving email they didn't ask to get-- so much so that a law was passed in 2004 to allow suit to be brought against anyone who utilizes these kinds of tactics.
