Manage Products

Log into CMATION® (http://www.yourwebsite.com/admin)

In the menu on the left under the Shopping Cart Tools Tab click Manage Products.

Click ADD PRODUCTS link at the top of the page.

You should now see the forms interface that includes Field Name / Input at the top.

Price Options: Enter the appropriate data.

Is Addon: Choose the appropriate option.

Is Accessory: Choose the appropriate option.

Additional Options 1-10: Enter appropriate data.

Featured: yes=visible; no=not visible

Sort: Assign order of list placement using a numeric value. You may leave blank.

Active: yes=visible; no=not visible

Type: Choose the appropriate choice from the drop-down list.

Part Number: Enter the appropriate data.

Jobber Price: Enter the appropriate data.

Shipping Weight Lbs.: Enter the appropriate data.

Shipping Weight Oz.: Enter the appropriate data.

Page URL: Also known as “file name”. If left blank, Cmation system will automatically assign a file name using the 'name' field data.

Addons:

Name: Name of product.

Content– Click in the text input box, you will see a blinking cursor appear. You may begin typing or paste your website Categories. This is a fully editable region in that you can add, change or edit text, add photos, tables & links. The formatting GUI (see image below) is similar to what you would use in a program like Word that allows you to edit the appearance of your Categories.

Moving your cursor over each tool bar element will show the name of the element, indicating what it is used for. To see what formatting has been used on elements within the content box already, click on the element and any existing formatting will cause the corresponding tool bar icon to be highlighted.

How To Insert An Image:

Locate the INSERT IMAGE icon on the bottom tool bar – looks like a picture of a tree – this will open a new window. If you already have an image on your FTP server and know the image URL (location address), input that in the 'image URL' box. Otherwise, choose an image from the 'image list' drop down menu (the images listed here will be images that have been added using the MANAGE IMAGES section of the ADMN). Choosing an image will automatically populate the 'image description' and 'image title' boxes, however you may choose to rename either or both to suit your needs. NOTE: Both image descriptions and titles are useful in improving your web site's search engine rankings.

Clicking on the APPEARANCEtab provides the option of editing the images appearance. Alignment adjusts where the image is placed in relation to the text. Dimension allows you to change the size of the image or click on THUMBNAIL to automatically resize the image to thumbnail size. Make sure to check the 'Constrain Proportions' box to ensure your image resizes correctly. Vertical/Horizontal space allows you to choose the images location relative to the top and left margins. Border allows you to add a border to the image using a numerical value, the higher the number, the thicker the border.

The UPLOAD tab allows you to add a new image to the server. Input a name for your file then click the 'browse' button to locate your file where it resides on your own computer.

Click on the image you wish to edit—you know it is chosen when you see small light gray squares appear surrounding the image—then click on the INSERT/EDIT IMAGE (looks like a tree) icon.

The GENERAL tab is where you may rename the IMAGE DESCRIPTION or TITLE to suit your needs. NOTE: Both image descriptions and titles are useful in improving your web site's search engine rankings.

If you have already copied the link from another source, paste it in the LINK URL box. Otherwise, choose a link location from the drop down menus. Removing a Link From Images or Text:

Click on the image, or highlight the text link you wish to 'unlink'. Click on the UNLINK icon (looks like a piece of broken chain, located next to the link icon). This will remove the URL from the image or text.

Preview your page

Click on the PREVIEW icon (looks like a magnifying glass, located on the bottom tool bar), this will open up a new browser window, showing what your page will look like.

Remove Formatting

Highlight the element you would like to remove existing formatting from. Click on the ERASER icon (looks like a white eraser, located in the middle tool bar).

Paste As Plain Text

This option will remove all formatting (background code) from content you have copied from another source such as Word.

Paste From Word

This option will leave positional formatting (tabs, bullets, indents, etc.) while removing all other formatting when copying from a Word document. NOTE: Removing the background code or formatting from Word will help optimize your search engine results.

Clean Up Messy Code

This option will not affect the way your content appears to website visitors. What it will do is clean up any extra, unnecessary code that will make your site harder for Search Engines to index which would lower your placement in search results. Once you are finished editing your content and are happy with it's appearance, click the CLEAN UP MESSY CODE icon (looks like a dust brush, located on bottom tool bar). NOTE:Clean code helps make your site more searchable and therefore more likely to place higher in returned search results.

View HTML

To edit the HTML (hyper text markup language) of your content, click on the HTML icon (HTML is written on the icon, located on the bottom tool bar).

Additional Info: Additional product information.

Category: Choose the appropriate choice from the drop-down list.

Sub Category: Choose the appropriate choice from the drop-down list.

Price: Enter the appropriate data.

Options: Enter the appropriate data.

Promo Pic (and images 2-6): Click 'browse' to locate the promo image file on your computer that you wish to upload. Select file, click 'open'.

Shipping Price Padding: Enter the appropriate data.

Meta Title: Page title as you wish it to appear in search engine results listings. Should be a very concise title that summarizes the page overview and includes important key words.

Meta Description: Input a brief, one sentence description of your page. This is the description you see under the Page Title when searching on Google, Yahoo, Ask.com, etc.

Meta Keywords: create a list of “search terms”, separated by a comma only, relevant to the content of your page. (i.e. professional clown, rent a clown, hire a clown, kids entertainment, party entertainment, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Largo, Pinellas, Hillsboro, Pasco)

Meta information is important to search engine placement, the more relevant your meta tags are to search terms used, the higher your pages will be placed in the search results. Use words that other people will use when searching for your product or service, such as your City, State, product, industry or service specific language, etc.

Click SAVE to save and continue, or CANCEL to return to the Overview.

You can delete Content in two different ways:

Delete Option 1
The first way is to select the delete icon to the far right of the PRODUCT you wish to delete when you are on the Manage Products main page in the admin.

You will be prompted with a confirm deletion page. Just select yes or no and click the confirm button.

Delete Option 2
The second way is to click on the edit icon to the far right (the pencil) of the PRODUCT you wish to delete and open the Manage Products page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the delete button.

You will be prompted with a confirm deletion page. Just select yes or no and click the confirm button.
