
This module will allow you to send a html or text email to a list of email addresses. This list of email addresses can be either entered through a form on your website or by importing the list through the import tools.
First log into CMATION® and under "General" click the link labeled "Manage Newsletter".
Under "Newsletter Management Links" select "Compose Newsletter".
The first screen that loads will be a list of "Newsletter Lists", you will need to select which one to send the newsletter to. Once selected click "Continue".
The second screen that loads will be a list of "Newsletter Templates" that you have configured, if you have not configured any you can simply select "Blank Template". Once selected click "Continue".
The third screen that loads will be the content editor that will allow you to edit the content of the newsletter as well as control the formatting of the email. Once you are satisfied with the content of your newsletter click "Continue".
The forth screen that loads is the newletter confirmation screen. This will allow you to send yourself a test by entering your email address in the "Test Recipients" box. Once you do press "Send Test" and wait a couple minutes for the email to arrive in your email's inbox. Once you are satisfied with the email press the "Save & Send" button. and your newsletter is complete.
To assist you in personalizing your newsletter you can reference member info by entering place holders - They are CASE-SENSITIVE.
###NAME### - using this will take the Member Name and insert it wherever this tag is placed.
###SUBSCRIPTION### - using this will insert your opt-out link wherever this tag is placed. If this tag is not used, the opt-out link will appear at the bottom of the newsletter email.
###EMAIL### - using this will take the Member Email Address and insert it wherever this tag is placed.Using a newsletter to promote your products/services can be a very powerful tool in your marketing campaign, however, this tool does require a serious commitment to responsible marketing.
Everyone hates receiving email they didn't ask to get-- so much so that a law was passed in 2004 to allow suit to be brought against anyone who utilizes these kinds of tactics.
