
The instructions that follow will show you how to properly setup an email account in Windows Mail which is found on the Windows Vista operating system.
Go to Tools > Accounts
Click Add
Choose E-Mail account then click Next
In Display Name, type your name.
Click Next
In E-Mail address, type your assigned email address.
Click Next
In Incoming Mail (POP3 or IMAP) server type in: mail.yourdomain.com (Replace 'yourdomain.com' with your real domain name)
In Outgoing Mail (SMTP) name type in: mail.yourdomain.com should be set to your ISP outgoing mail server [ more info ]
(If using your website's outgoing mail server) Select the checkbox labeled Outgoing server requires authentication
In E-Mail username, type your assigned email address.
In Password, type your assigned password.
Click Next.
Click Finish.
