Bold: Bold or un-bold selected text (Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl-B)

Cut:
Select content you wish to cut, using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'cut' icon (Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl-X). The content will disappear but has been placed on the “clip board” and will allow you to paste your content in a new location.Note: the clip board will only keep the last item you cut to it so be sure to paste your content before cutting additional content.
Copy: Select content you wish to copy, using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'copy' icon (Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl-C). Your selected content will remain but has been placed on the “clip board” and will allow you to paste it in a new location.
Note: the clip board will only keep the last item you copy to it so be sure to paste your content before copying additional content.
Paste: After selecting the content and copying or cutting to the clip board, place your cursor where you would like your content to be placed. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'paste' button (Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl-V) and your copied/cut items will appear.
Paste As Text: Use this option if you have copied your content from another program and want to only place the text without any formatting—just text.
Paste From Word: Use this option if you have created your page content in Word. Copy it in Word then, using your mouse, highlight and left click on the 'Paste From Word' icon. This will cause a window to pop open saying “Paste from Word. Use CTRL+V on your keyboard to paste the text into the window.” After pasting your content, click the 'insert' button.
This will strip out any unnecessary code that Word may have embedded that will cause formatting problems in the Page Content Editor. Alignment, indents, font colors and bulleted lists will remain.
Note: Images will also be removed because images need to be inserted using the 'add image' icon so they will be linked to the files on your server.
Find: Allows the user to search for a word or phrase quickly. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'find' icon. This will open a new window (see second image) type in the text you are searching for and choose the direction you want to search the page (up or down), you may also choose to only match the case (upper, lower, capitalized, all caps) as you input it. Click 'find next'.
Find & Replace: Allows the user to search for and replace a word or phrase (or multiple instances of) quickly. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'find & replace' icon. This will open a new window (see second image) type in the text you are searching for and the text you want it replaced with. Choose the direction you want to search the page (up or down), you may also choose to only match the case (upper, lower, capitalized, all caps) as you input it. Click 'find next' to locate the matching text, click 'replace' to change the first found item or click 'replace all' to change all instances found in the entire page.
Bulleted List: Select the text you would like to make a bulleted list. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'bulleted list' icon.
Example:
Numbered List: Same directions as bulleted list, only clicking the 'numbered list' icon. Rather than bullet points and numbered list (ex. 1, 2, 3...) in order will appear.
Decrease Indent: Select indented text you would like to return to it's original position. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'decrease indent' icon.
Increase Indent: Select indented text you would like to indent. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'increase indent' icon.
Blockquote: This will indent an entire block of text. Select text you would like to blockquote. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'blockquote' icon.
Note: You may also “un-blockquote” text using the same instructions, only selecting text that has already been blockquote formatted.
Undo: Allows user to undo last action or last several actions,depending on how many times the 'undo' icon is clicked.
Redo: Allows user to redo an action after using the undo option.
Text Color: Select the text you wish to change. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the arrow on the right side of the 'text color' icon. A small pallet box will open up showing a variety of colors to choose from. Click on the color you wish to use or click 'more colors' if you want to create a custom color.
Highlight Text: Use this option if you want a selection of text to stand out on the page, just like using a real highlighting pen on paper this option will add a colored background around the text.
Select the text you wish to highlight. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the arrow on the right side of the 'highlight text' icon. A small pallet box will open up showing a variety of colors to choose from. Click on the color you wish to use or click 'more colors' if you want to create a custom color.
Insert Table: Tables are used to organize tabular data (see info below) including photos, text, lists and headings.

Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the arrow on the right side of the 'add table' icon. A small window will open up showing a variety of values to set.
Choose the numbers of columns (vertical) and rows (horizontal).
Cell Padding: add space between the text and the borders of the cell.
Cell Spacing: to add space between the cell borders.
Alignment: set the placement of the whole table.
Width: allows you to set the width of the table. Use either % or px.
Border: leave at 0 if you do not wish it to be seen. Make the border visible
by inputting a number (the number is the number of pixels wide you
want the boarder to be).
Table Caption: click this box if you want a cell added to the top of
your table that can be used to input a title or caption.
Note: After creating your table you may change these values at any time by right clicking within the table and choosing 'table options'.
Table Row Properties: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'table row properties' icon. (Can also be accessed by right clicking your mouse within the table and selecting Row-->Table Row Properties) A small window will open up showing a variety of values to set.
The last drop down menu allows you to choose which table rows to apply changes to: update current row, update odd rows in table, update even rows in table or update all rows in table.

Insert Row Before: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'insert table row before' icon. This will place a new row before the currently selected row.
Insert Row After: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'insert table row after' icon. This will place a new row after the currently selected row.
Delete Row: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'delete row' icon. This will delete the currently selected row.
Insert Column Before: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'insert table column before' icon. This will place a new column before the currently selected column.
Insert Column After: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'insert table column after' icon. This will place a new column after the currently selected column.
Delete Column: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'delete column' icon. This will delete the currently selected column.
Split Merged Table Cells: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'split merged cells' icon. This will separate any merged cells.
Merge Table Cells: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'merge cells' icon. This will merge cells together into one large cell.
Insert Horizontal Ruler: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'horizontal ruler' icon. This will insert a default horizontal ruler.
Remove Formatting: Select the text you would like to strip the formatting from (or Ctrl-A if you wish to select all). Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'remove formatting' icon. This will remove all formatting from your text, allowing you to start fresh.
Toggle Guidelines/Invisible Elements: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'toggle guidelines/invisible elements' icon. This will hide or show any invisible elements.
Subscript: Select the text you wish to subscript. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'subscript' icon. Useful for footnote notations.
Superscript: Select the text you wish to superscript. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'superscript' icon. Useful for trademark, copyright, degree or equation notation.
Insert Custom Character: Place your mouse cursor where you would like the character to appear. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'custom character' icon.
Spell Check: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'spell check' icon. This will check your entire document for spelling errors.
Insert/Edit Embedded Media: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'insert/edit embedded media' icon. This will allow the user to embed Quick Time, Flash, ShockWave, Real Player and Windows Media Player files into the page content quickly and easily.
Type: Select the type of media you wish to embed.
File/URL: If you are linking to media hosted on another server, such as YouTube, copy the URL and paste here. If you have already uploaded the media using the upload tab, you will see your file(s) here and wil lbe able to select the one you wish to use in this instance.
Dimensions: Specify the media player width and height here.
Upload: This is where you will be able to upload any new media files that do not already reside on your server. Input the file name then click 'browse' to locate the file on your computer. Once you have clicked 'upload' you may return to the 'general' tab and your file should now show up in the 'link list'.
Horizontal Rule: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'horizontal rule' icon. This will open a small window to allow the user to set customized values. Width is how wide you wish the rule to be (can choose pixels or percentage), height is the number of pixels wide you wish the line to be.
Inserting a Link:
Select the text you wish to make into a link, if you have not typed it at this point type your text into the content editor now. You may link to other web sites, documents or files,
images, etc. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'Insert/Edit Link' icon. This will open a small window.
Link URL: if you are linking to a website paste it here, otherwise leave this space blank.
Link List: This drop down list will consist of all the files currently available on the server, allowing you to link to a file. Ex. PDF, image, or document.
Page List: This drop down list consists of all of the pages in your website, allowing you to point your link to a specific page.
Anchors: This drop down list will display any active anchors within your site, allowing you to point your link to a specific anchor point within a page.
Target: Allows you to choose how the browser opens the linked item. Ex. In a new window, in the same window, etc.
Upload: This is where you will be able to upload any new documents or files that do not already reside on your server. Input the file name then click 'browse' to locate the file on your computer. Once you have clicked 'upload' you may return to the 'general' tab and your file should now show up in the 'link list'.
Unlink: To remove a link, select the text you wish to unlink. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'unlink' icon.
Anchor: Use this option to create a link to another page or to a particular section within a page./<>
Place your mouse cursor where you would like the anchor to be placed. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'anchor' icon. Input a name for your anchor.
Note: Each anchor requires it's own unique name.
Insert Image: Use this option to insert an image into your page. Place your mouse cursor where you would like the image to be placed. Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'add image' icon which will open a small window.
Image URL: if you have the URL for a image on another web server paste it here, otherwise leave this space blank.
Image List: This drop down list will contain all of the image files currently available on your server.
Image Description: Not only will this allow you to identify the image quickly, it will assist search engines with indexing your site.
Title: Create a title for your image.
Preview: after selecting an image file, a preview will appear in this space to help you decide if you have chosen the correct image.
Alignment: Use this to set the alignment of your image. The example on the right will change to show you the affect of your selection.
Dimensions: here you can change the size your image will appear within the page. Be careful when enlarging an image above it's actual size as the image will begin to pixilate and not look good.
Use Thumbnail: checking this box will automatically resize your image to a thumbnail size
Constrain Proportions: check this box to ensure your image is resized without distorting it
Vertical space: use this option to manually set the vertical spacing of the image.
Horizontal space: use this option to manually set the horizontal spacing of the image.
Border: add a border to your image by entering the number or pixels wide you would like it to be.
New Filename: input a name for the file you will be uploading.
Choose Image: click browse to locate the image file on your local computer.
Upload Image: click this button to begin the upload process. Once it has finished return to the 'general' tab and select you image file from the drop down menu.
Clean Code: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'clean code' icon. Use this option to clean up any unnecessary code that may be in your HTML code.
Note: Leaving extra code in your HTML files will make your pages load slower, make it more difficult for search engines to index your pages and may cause some browsers to show your site pages incorrectly or not at all.
HTML: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'HTML' icon. Use this option to view the actual HTML code.
Preview: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'preview' icon. Use this option to preview your page.
Print: Using your mouse, highlight and then left click the 'print' icon. Use this option to print your page.
